• To enable location-based attendance tracking, we collect your device's precise location (latitude and longitude) when you use the check-in/check-out feature. This data is collected only when the app is actively used for attendance purposes.
• We only store the location data that is necessary for attendance reporting.
• File Read/Write Permissions:
• The App may request file read and write permissions to store attendance records, download reports.
• This includes the ability to save data to the device's storage.
• Network Information:
• We collect network information, such as IP address and network connection details, to facilitate communication with our servers and ensure the App's functionality.
• This is used to transmit attendance data, and to verify the authenticity of the device.
• Student Information:
• We collect student identification information (e.g., student ID, Roll No., Name, class & section) to link attendance records to individual students. This information is provided by the educational institution.
• Attendance records, including location data, are associated with the student profile.
• Teacher Mobile Number:
• We collect and store teacher’s mobile numbers, in order to facilitate communication regarding student attendance, and for teacher authentication.
• This data will be kept secure and used only for app related activity.

2. How We Use Your Information:

We use your information for the following purposes:

• Attendance Tracking: To accurately record and track student attendance.
• Reporting: To generate attendance reports for teachers, and administrators.
• Communication: To send notifications and alerts related to attendance, and for communication between teachers and admins.
• App Functionality: To provide and improve the App's features and performance.
• Security: To protect the App and our users from unauthorized access and fraud.
• Compliance: To comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Teacher Communication: to facilitate communication between teachers and the department, regarding student attendance.

• Educational Institutions: We share attendance records and related information with your school and our department for monitoring purposes and decision making.
• Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us with hosting, data analysis, and technical support. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.

• With your consent: If you give us permission.
• Teachers: Student attendance information will be shared with the relevant teachers.
• Administrators: Full access to all attendance data, including student and teacher information, will be available to administrators.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CAMPUS Mobile Application (the "App") provided by the Department of Education ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the App.  

1. Acceptance of Terms:

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Education Department.  

2. Use of the App:

• Eligibility: You must be a registered teacher or authorized user associated with a participating educational institution to use this App.
• License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose, which is CAMPUS.  
• Restrictions: You agree not to:
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.
• Modify, adapt, translate, or reverse engineer the App.
• Distribute, sell, or rent the App to any third party.
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App.
• Use the app to send spam, or other unwanted messages.
• Impersonate another user.
• Use the app in such a way that it violates the privacy of other users.

3. User Accounts:

• Account Creation: You may be required to create an account to use the features of the App.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Account Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. Data Privacy:

• Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
• By using the App, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

• You understand that teacher’s mobile phone numbers will be stored, and used for communication relating to student attendance, and app functionality.

• The App and all content, including software, text, graphics, and logos, are the property of the department of Education or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
• You may not use our intellectual property without our express written permission.  

7. Disclaimer of Warranties:

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied.
• We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.  
• We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.  

8. Limitation of Liability:

• In no event shall the department be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App.  
• Our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Termination:>

• We may terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause.
• Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App.
